Crossbow Strings
Your crossbow string will need to be changed from time to time as it will wear down from regular use. It's best to replace the string before it breaks, so learn to look for signs of wear and fraying leading up to your first replacement. String wax will also prolong the life of your string.
There's no feeling like having a string break on you at the start of a hunt, so don't be the lonely Joe that can't go hunting. Carry an extra string and any tools you might need to replace it. Store them in your crossbow case so you always have them available should a string break on you. |
